Introducing our New "Alumni Thursday" Blog Series!

It's official.... after Brianna Fisher's popular "Hello Real World, it's Nice to Meet You" post, we have decided to bring back a few other of the fabulous grads for our new "Alumni Thursday" blog series throughout the summer. We will have three PRowl Public Relations alumni writers: Brianna Fisher, Melissa Marsili and Crystal Wang.

All three graduated in May 2010 and have gone on to pursue various endeavors in the PR/marketing field. I'll let the girls introduce themselves:

Brianna Fisher
"I work for Vault Communications in Plymouth Meeting. Vault provides public relations, social media and marketing services to our clients. I'm assigned to one account - AMResorts. They have more than 20 resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. My account work consists entirely of social media management for these resorts. I also support several of our other clients including the Mark Twain House, Heartland Payment Systems, the National Pest Management Association and Tastykake."

Melissa Marsili
"I work for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) as a Partnership Marketing Associate. GPCC promotes growth and development in the Philadelphia region as well as advocates for sound public policy. I write sponsorship proposals that are sent to members for our events, sell website advertisements and work to engage high-level members of the Chamber."

Crystal Wang
"I've made the move to the Big Apple, where I'm interning at Bullfrog and Baum, an award-winning agency specializing in hospitality, lifestyle and consumer public relations and marketing. I'm currently working in the hospitality division directly under Kay Lindsay, Vice President of Hospitality and Susan Hosmer, Vice President of the company's West Coast offices. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to combine my interest of public relations, gastronomy, and the restaurant hospitality industries."

Hello!

As many of you know, Jessica Lawlor, who acted as director of public relations for PRowl Public Relations, recently left our organization to become president of Temple PRSSA.

My name is Emily Woodward, and I will be taking over her duties as director of public relations. A little about me: I'm originally from Lancaster, Pa. I will begin my junior year at Temple this upcoming fall, and am majoring in public relations. Besides being involved with PRowl, I'm an active member of Temple PRSSA and the Temple Student Alumni Association. I love to read and I'm also interested in travel. I find the field of public relations fascinating and am dedicated to sharing and learning as much as I can!

Jessica has taught me a lot over the course of the last semester, as she is extremely knowledgeable and versed within the field of public relations! Her presence at PRowl Public Relations will truly be missed. She has left big shoes to fill, but I promise to do my best.

That being said, I am looking forward to interacting with the surrounding community on behalf of PRowl Public Relations!

Introducing...Melissa Marsili

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa Marsili and I'm the new Assistant Firm Director for the 2008-2009 year, along with the lovely Crystal Wang. I'll be a junior next year, majoring in public relations.

Last year in the firm I was the account executive for the Rebecca Davis Dance Company, which was a great experience.

My job for the upcoming summer and school year will be to supervise accounts and assist Jaime with anything that she needs.

My favorite part about PR is being able to work with many different clients on a variety of projects, and helping them to gain positive attention from their audiences.

Next fall I'll be interning with LevLane, and after graduation I would love to work in Philadelphia at a PR agency.

Right now I'm very excited to start working with our summer clients, and to see what amazing things the firm can accomplish in the upcoming months!

Introducing... Crystal Wang

Well heyyyy! My name is Crystal Wang and I am the other Assistant Firm Director along with the beautiful Jaime! As Jaime mentioned, our job is to assist the Firm Director, while also working with Account Executives and other staff members in concerns to client accounts. I am currently a sophomore at Temple University and hope to achieve my degree in Public Relations at the School of Communications and Theater. There are so many things I love about PR, but mostly I love meeting new people and building lasting relationships! One day, I hope to find my niche in the PR world, be that in Philadelphia or New York City within the areas of fashion, entertainment or lifestyles.

I am so very excited to be working with a fantastic staff, as well as with our clientele. There is so much on our horizon, I can’t wait!

Introducing...Natalie Prazenica

Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by to check out our blog. My name is Natalie Prazenica and I'm the Firm Director at PRowl Public Relations. I'm a Public Relations major and I will be graduating from Temple this May. As Firm Director, I oversee all of the firm's work, seek out new clients, and make sure everything is running smoothly and according to plan.

Creating PRowl PR has been a true adventure. My favorite aspect of public relations is seeing the outstanding changes that happen for businesses after implementing a PR plan. There's nothing more important for businesses these days than exposure- and it's great to see your own work influencing companies and their audiences. It is my hope that PRowl PR can have this type of influence at Temple.

After graduation, I'd love to pursue a job working in non-profit PR or working for an agency. I'm not sure where I'll be, but I'm confident that opportunities await everywhere.

Introducing...Reilly Fies

Hey everybody! My name is Reilly Fies and I'm the Director of Finance for PRowl Public Relations. My responsibilities for PRowl is to keep track of the Firm's bank account in addition to our client's expenses and reimbursements. I am a sophomore here at Temple University as a Public Relations major with a Business minor. My favorite aspect of PR is the personal aspect of being able to represent a client and promote them so they can get all of the attention they need. After I graduate I am planning on staying in an urban area and would love to work in PR with professional sports teams, primarily baseball, or as an event planner.

Introducing...Jaime Scofield!

Hola! I’m Jaime Scofield, one of PRowl PR’s FANTASTIC Assistant Firm Directors. Crystal (the other Assistant Firm Director!) and I will be working with the amazing Board of Directors to ensure quality services for our clients. My specific job entails assisting our Firm Director, recruitment, supervising accounts, and much more! I am currently a sophomore at Temple University and am pursuing two degrees. I am a Marketing major in the Business School, and a PR major in the School of Communications! What I really love about PR is being able to promote a client to their publics and getting them the attention that they deserve and making sure it is all in a positive way. I believe that I would like to work in Lifestyle PR or possibly event planning. I also hope to obtain a job that incorporates both PR and Marketing.
