Last semester I had a professor who really stressed the importance of having an elevator pitch ready for any networking opportunity. Having a quick and concise several statement pitch can come in handy when you least expect it. I found a great article on erelease.com that gives 5 great tips for creating an elevator pitch.
1. Keep it short
2. Answer all the w's and h (who, what, where, when, why and how)
3. Have a hook
4. Stick to the facts
5. Be passionate
